Something I was working on

While I was away with my dad I sat many hours watching him sleep.  In order to keep my hands busy I started making fabric yo-yo's.  I love making them with the pretty lacey fabrics!  I needed another birthday card so I colored up my Tilda using Copic markers stitching the background paper unto white cardstock with my sewing machine.  The roses are from Wild Orchard Crafts.  I added a couple of stickpins, some pretty pink ribbon and three sweet little hearts on the bottom to finish it out.  Notice the sparkles?  Those are created using Stickles.  Tell your husbands DO NOT put things done on top of your wet artwork! lol.  Love, Elle
Here is a close-up of the lace yo-yo:

Gorgeous Elle!!! I love to make yoyos too! I love the fabric you used to make yours - how pretty! When my beloved passed away I sat down and painted a beuatiful lighthouse on a jar and everytime I look at it I think of her. I hope your artful piece brings you memories of your Dad, too!
