You HAVE to try this!

You HAVE to try this recipe!  Print it out and cook it right away.  It is BY FAR the BEST pot roast I have EVER had.  I just knew I had to create a recipe card for this one.  Actually, I created 8 recipe cards!  I choose one of my favorite Tilda stamps that I colored with Copic Markers as well as some pretty lace trim along with my trusty buttons.  Enjoy!  Love, Elle

Hello!

Just dropping in to say "hello".  I have been in and out of town dealing with my father's business.  We are having a memorial service next weekend and a full military funeral on April 15th in Iowa.  (I'm in St. Louis, MO).  This is one of the hardest things I have ever went through.  On a artistic note I have been busy working on some recipe cards and a Mad Hatter hat swap for the group Art For The Creative Mind.  (the hat, not the recipe cards).  I also have to make some more cards to send to people so I have been busy in my studio.  The recipe cards involve doing 8 of the same thing so it is taking my longer than a single item.  As soon as I am done I will be sharing the photos with you.  I hope all is well with everyone.  THANK YOU so much for the comments and all of your support after loosing my father.  They really do help.  Love, Elle

Something I was working on

While I was away with my dad I sat many hours watching him sleep.  In order to keep my hands busy I started making fabric yo-yo's.  I love making them with the pretty lacey fabrics!  I needed another birthday card so I colored up my Tilda using Copic markers stitching the background paper unto white cardstock with my sewing machine.  The roses are from Wild Orchard Crafts.  I added a couple of stickpins, some pretty pink ribbon and three sweet little hearts on the bottom to finish it out.  Notice the sparkles?  Those are created using Stickles.  Tell your husbands DO NOT put things done on top of your wet artwork! lol.  Love, Elle

My dad

Dad passed away quietly.  With a magnificant peacefulness that I had prayed so much for.  With dignity and respect.  With family surrounding him.  I will miss him SOOOOOOOO much but he would not have wanted to remain like he was.  My beliefs allow me comfort in the knowledge that he is in heaven with my God.  His father and mother and so many others that have gone before him.  Love, Elle

My father

I just spent the week with my dad.  Exhausting.  Breathtaking.  Sweet.  Sad.  He will be gone from this Earth when I see him next.  I have been blessed to have a father like my dad.  Hug your parents-you never know when they will be gone.  Love, Elle

I'm switching gears

I decided to switch gears today and make a couple of ATC (Artist Trading Cards) for my group, Art For The Creative Mind.  Not actually my group, yet the group I adore and am honored to belong to.  The theme for this swap was 'Hands of Time'.  I like the one with the stamped lady most of all.  Time flies, get it?  lol  I will be going back out of town to be with my dad Sunday for at least a week so if I'm not posting much this is why.  I want to color up some Tilda images and make at least one card before I leave but Lord only knows if that will get done.  Enjoy the atc's!  Love, Elle

Tilda times two

Tilda times two.  We are having a ice storm/blizzard here in the St. Louis area of the USA so what better than to do than to color up two of my Tilda's!  I joined several image swaps and decided to randomly pull out several images to color.  Here are my results.  Take a look at my roses that I got from Stampin Up-LOVING THEM!
Let me know which one is your favorite!  Love, Elle
